Review a record’s history in the Logs tab

The Logs tab shows every change to a record: who changed what, when, and from which source. Filter by person, type of change, field or date.

Permission to view the record
  • You need: Permission to view the record

Steps

1
Open the record and choose the Logs tab. The newest changes come first.
2
Filter by person in Done by, or choose “System” for automatic changes.
3
Filter by Action, Source, Category, Field or Date range.
4
Open any entry to see the old and new value of each field.

How it works

Bulk edits that touched the record more than once are grouped into one entry. Entries about units you can’t see are hidden, so a page may come back shorter than usual.

A real example

Shield Security Co.
The situation

A client says the value of their contract changed without them knowing.

What they did
  1. The manager filtered the activity by the “Contract value” field.
The result

It showed that an automation changed the value after the contract was renewed, with the date and time.

A made-up company, to show the idea. The numbers are rounded.

Good to know

30 entries per page, and up to 100.
Each entry shows up to 50 changed fields, with a note of how many more there are.
For the audit log of the whole workspace, see Track who changed what and when in Audit Logs.
