If something goes wrong What you see
Why
What to do
You don’t see Audit Logs
You aren’t the owner or a super admin.
Ask the owner.
“The period is longer than 366 days”
You chose a long range, or a start date after the end date.
Shorten the period.
An old change doesn’t show
It’s more than 3 months old.
Contact support if you need it, within 12 months.
A real example The situation
A contract’s value changed, and nobody knew who changed it.
What they did
The owner filtered the log by Record Type “Contracts” and the “Value” field. The result
It turned out an old automation had changed the value, so they turned it off.
A made-up company, to show the idea. The numbers are rounded.
Good to know Only the owner and super admins can open it, and it doesn’t open while you’re signed in on behalf of another user. Entries show for 3 months. Then they’re archived, and deleted for good after 12 months. The period filter covers up to 366 days, and it uses your time zone. No entry can be edited or deleted, not even by the owner. Renaming a field changes its name in old entries too. Did this guide solve it?
