Steps

1
In Edit layout, press Add widget, choose Table and press Continue. Then choose the unit.
2
In Columns, choose the columns and drag them into order (up to 8 by default).
3
Choose Sort by, its Order (Oldest or Newest) and Rows to show (up to 100).
4
Choose the Date field and the filters, press Continue, then press Add widget.

How it works

Each cell shows according to its field type: text, number, currency with its symbol, date, date and time in the workspace’s time zone, yes/no, one or more options, serial number. Column names are the fields’ current names.

Relation, file, image, location, smart catalog and lookup columns show empty. The “Created by” and “Updated by” columns aren’t available in the table.

Under the table is the total count, and View all records opens the records list with the same conditions (Click any number to see the records behind it).

The table never shows an outdated copy: if loading fails, an error shows, because the record may have been deleted or assigned to someone else.

A real example

Shield Security Co.
The situation

The manager wants the contracts that end soon right in front of him.

What they did
  1. A table on the contracts unit: client, value, end date, owner.
  2. Sorted by end date, ascending, 20 rows, with the filter “Status = Active”.
The result

He calls clients a month before their contracts end.

A made-up company, to show the idea. The numbers are rounded.

Good to know

Up to 100 rows (10–100, depending on the owner’s setting).
Up to 8 columns by default (1–12).
A table’s CSV holds up to 50,000 rows by default (Export one widget as CSV).
