  • You need: Edit access to the dashboard

Steps

1
In Edit layout, press Add widget, choose Activity and press Continue.
2
Choose a unit, or leave it on All units you can read to follow every unit the viewer can see.
3
In Events, choose 1–5 events: Created, Updated, Status changed, Deleted, Automation.
The “Automation” event means any change made by an automation or a distribution rule, even if it created a record.
4
Set Items to show (5–50, 10 by default) and optional filters (they need a specific unit), press Continue, then press Add widget.

How it works

Each line is one event: the time, who did it (a member, an automation or the system), the unit, the record, and the first change (such as “Amount: 100 → 250”).

The change line shows only if the field is one the viewer is allowed to see. A change of owner or relation shows without details. Select values show with their current names, and a deleted option shows as “(Removed option)”.

A deleted record shows without a link, and a member who left shows as “(Deleted member)”.

A real example

Shield Security Co.
The situation

The manager wants to know what happened to contracts while he was away.

What they did
  1. Activity on the contracts unit: status changed + deleted, 20 lines.
The result

In the morning, he sees who stopped a contract and who deleted another, without opening Track who changed what and when in Audit Logs.

A made-up company, to show the idea. The numbers are rounded.

Good to know

1–5 events, and 5–50 lines.
Filters need a specific unit.
It doesn’t keep an outdated copy if loading fails.
