Set your workspace’s dashboard limits, defaults and speed

Set your workspace’s dashboard limits and speed: the number of dashboards, widgets, shares and pins, the default date range, export limits and calculation timeouts.

6 min
Before you start · for owners
The workspace owner or a super admin
  • You need: The workspace owner or a super admin

Steps

1
Open Dashboards and press Dashboard settings.
2
Choose a section, such as Limits or Exports, and change the value within the allowed range.
3
Press Save. Creation limits (such as the number of widgets) apply from the next save, and existing widgets don’t stop if you lower a limit.

Raising timeouts and request limits puts more load on the whole workspace. Change them gradually.

Week start and time zone

Weeks start according to the workspace’s setting: Saturday, Sunday or Monday. If it isn’t set, it’s worked out from the workspace’s time zone.

Index advisor (speed indexes)

When a large unit is charted on a date, number or currency field, Corteksa automatically adds a speed index for that field if the unit passes the record threshold. The Index advisor section has a read-only list of the existing indexes; an index marked “Not indexed” was only partly built and isn’t used.

If something goes wrong

What you see
Why
What to do
You don’t see Dashboard settings
You aren’t the workspace owner or a super admin.
Ask the owner.
You lowered a limit and the dashboards didn’t change
Limits apply from the next save.
That’s expected.
A template skips widgets after you lowered a limit
The template is bigger than the new limit.
Raise the limit, or edit the dashboard after installing it.

Good to know

The settings are for the workspace owner and super admins only, and can’t be changed while support is signed in on their behalf.
