Export one widget as CSV

Download a widget’s data as a CSV file that opens in Excel: the table’s rows with their columns, or the chart’s categories with their values.

Steps

From the widget’s ⋯ menu, choose Export CSV.

Wait for the file to be prepared.
A small file is ready right away; a large table goes into the queue, and you get a notification.

Press Download in the notification, or in My exports.

How it works

Table: its columns use the current field names, and each amount column is followed by a “(Currency)” column, so the amounts can still be added up.

Other widgets: columns for the key, the label, the series key, the series label, the value and the currency. A goal adds the remaining amount, the period end and the days left.

Activity: time, event, actor, unit, record, field, from and to.

The file is UTF-8, so Arabic opens correctly in Excel. Numbers are exact, with no rounding, and cells that could be read as a formula are protected with a mark.

Text, Embed and old widgets can’t be exported as CSV.

An instant file doesn’t take a place in the queue, and isn’t refused when the queue is busy.

Good to know

Instant CSV up to 5,000 rows by default (500–10,000); anything above that goes into the queue.
CSV up to 50,000 rows by default (1,000–100,000).
The file is available for 24 hours by default.
