Organize dashboards in sidebar folders and favorites

Put a dashboard in a folder next to its units in the sidebar, and star the dashboards you use daily so they show in the Favorites group.

5 min

Steps

1
To put a dashboard in a folder: from the dashboard’s ⋯ menu, choose Place in folder, pick the folder and press Save. To take it out, choose Remove from folder.
This needs edit access to the dashboard, and the permission to edit folders in your role.
2
To order the dashboards inside a folder: drag them into the order you want.
3
For favorites: click the star (Add to favorites) on the dashboard or in the library.
It shows in the Favorites group in the sidebar, and you can reorder the group by dragging.

How it works

Folders are the same folders the units use in the sidebar. A dashboard is in one folder only, and everyone who opens it sees it there.

The sidebar shows only the dashboards you can open, even inside a folder you can see.

If you can’t edit folders, you see the names of up to 3 teammates who can move the dashboard.

Favorites are personal. If your access to a favorite dashboard is removed, it disappears from the sidebar, comes back if it’s shared with you again, and doesn’t count toward your limit.

Moving a dashboard to a folder or renaming it updates the sidebar for every member straight away.
