- You need: The Update permission on the channel’s row
Steps
Where does the name show?
In the Session Name field inside records, and in lists, Kanban boards, exports, document templates and automation messages. The name is read live, so renaming reaches every old record without editing it.
A filter on Session Name takes the current name. For example, “Session Name equals Sales” finds the records of any session named “Sales”.
Next to the session’s name in a record, its status color shows: green for Active, gray for Pending, red for Disconnected.
A record whose session was deleted keeps the session’s last name, marked Removed.
Renaming is recorded in the activity log, with the old and new names.
If something goes wrong
Pending-connection-...A real example
The number named “Ahmed’s number” became the maintenance department’s number after Ahmed moved on.
- The manager renamed it to “Maintenance - Riyadh”.
The name changed in 900 old records straight away, and the reports made sense again.
