Built-in fields in every unit and in the Tasks unit

Every new unit starts with four fields: Name, Status, Description and Tag. The Tasks unit has a set of its own. Here’s what you can change in them.

System fields

System fields can’t be deleted, their internal name or type can’t change, and they can’t be deactivated. You can edit their labels and options.

Name, Status, Tag and the assignee show in the record’s header, so they don’t go into groups.

The Tasks unit is the home of the workspace’s shared tag list, so the Tag field shows in it next to Task Type. Task Type is a separate list that doesn’t show in other units. See Add tasks to a record and follow them in My Tasks.

Fields that show when you connect channels and ads

You may also see Source, Session Name, Provider ID, and ad fields on the Leads and Contacts units: Ad Campaign, Ad Set, Ad, Lead Form.
