Long Text field: formatted notes and descriptions
Multi-line text with a formatting editor, up to 20,000 characters, with an optional minimum and maximum length.
How it works
Characters are counted the way the user sees them, so an emoji is one character.
The limits apply only to a value that’s typed in. An empty field is accepted unless it’s required.
Making the limits stricter later doesn’t reject old records, but they’re checked when that field is edited.
It can’t be unique. In catalog matching, it’s compared by its text with the formatting removed.
