Arrange fields in collapsible sections

Put fields into groups such as “Personal details”, “Documents” and “Finance”, so a long form is easy to read.

5 min
Before you start · for owners and managers
The view level on the unit to create a group, the edit level to reorder, and the delete level to delete
  • You need: The view level on the unit to create a group, the edit level to reorder, and the delete level to delete

Steps

1
Open the unit in Units settings, go to the Groups tab and press Add group.
2
Enter the Group name, the Icon and the Description, and turn on Start closed if the group should start collapsed.
3
Drag fields into the group, and arrange them inside it.
4
Drag the group headers to reorder the groups.

How it works

Fields outside any group show under Ungrouped at the end of the form.

Deleting a group never deletes its fields: they move to Ungrouped.

Groups only apply to the record form and its details page. The table, Kanban and exports aren’t affected.

Fields that don’t go into groups

Name, assignee, creation and edit details, status, tag, and system fields. These show in the record’s header.

A shared field has its own group in each unit it shows in.

Up to 200 fields in one move.
