Add a page header and footer (letterhead)
Design a band at the top of the page and another at the bottom, and choose whether each repeats on every page, prints once, or prints on every page except the first.

Steps
How it works
To the edge of the paper: a repeating band can run from one edge of the paper to the other, while the body keeps its margins. Good for a colored band at the top of the page.
Its own side margins: for a repeating band that doesn’t run to the edge, set its distance from the 2 edges of the paper. If you leave it empty, it follows the page margins.
Height: reserves a fixed space for the band. If the content is taller, the band grows. In a band that prints once, the height is a minimum.
A repeating footer prints in the same position at the bottom of every page, including the last page.
Insert page_number and total_pages here to number the pages. See System fields: date, your name, record link and page numbers.

A real example
The first page is a cover, and the header mustn’t show on it.
- A header with the logo and the contract number, shown on Every page except the first.
- A footer that runs to the edge of the paper in the company’s color, with “Page
page_numberoftotal_pages“.
A clean cover, and every page after it carries the company’s letterhead and its page number.
