Start, reopen or delete an assistant conversation
Every conversation is yours alone and kept with no expiry. Its title is your first message. Start a new chat for a new topic, or delete a conversation for good.
Steps
Delete conversation permanently deletes all of its messages and can’t be undone.
How it works
Under a reply:
The title is your first message, cut to 80 characters, and it can’t be renamed.
The history never expires. Pending cards come back live when you reopen the conversation, and expired ones show read-only.
A reply you stopped shows partly, with “…”.
An empty conversation where no message was sent doesn’t show in the list.
Your teammates don’t see your conversations, and you don’t see theirs.
What the assistant remembers
It sees your last 8 messages in the conversation, and summarizes older ones automatically. The full history stays visible to you. For lasting preferences, see Make the assistant remember your preferences.
When you open an empty conversation, it suggests questions and quick facts, such as your overdue tasks and records with no assignee or no update for 14 days.
A real example
The supervisor uses one conversation per topic.
- She goes back to a “Weekly reports” conversation every Sunday.
- She deletes a “Tests” conversation when the testing is over.
She finds every earlier report quickly, without mixing topics.
