“Separate + Flag” mode: a new record, flagged as a duplicate
A new record is created as usual, linked to every matching record and flagged as a duplicate. Good when you want to review duplicates by hand.
Deduplication control is a paid Add-on.
How it works
When a client arrives who matches one or more records:
- The new record is created.
- It’s linked to all the matching records as a duplicate group.
- A Possible duplicate flag shows on it and on its card in the table.
- The decision is written to the change log.
It suits sales teams who want a manager to make the merge decision, or units where two records for the same person make sense, such as orders.
The flag only shows to the owner and to roles with the permission to see duplicate warnings.
A real example
Namaa Academy
The situation
The same client signs up for more than one course, and each enrollment must stay separate.
What they did
- The “Separate + Flag” mode on the “Enrollments” unit, matching on the mobile number.
The result
Every enrollment stays separate, and the manager sees that it’s the same client.
A made-up company, to show the idea. The numbers are rounded.
