Make a distribution rule for one source or channel
Limit the rule to certain channels, such as a branch’s WhatsApp number, with Sessions, or to sources such as “Facebook form” with a Source condition. A limited rule is more specific, so it’s checked before general ones.
Lead distribution is a paid Add-on. If you can’t find it in your account, contact support to turn it on.

Steps
How it works
If you use sessions and a Source condition together, both must be met.
Sources for ad forms
Clients from Facebook and Instagram forms carry the source “Facebook form” or “Instagram form”. Clients from TikTok forms have no source, so a Source condition won’t catch them. To tell them apart, use a condition on the “Lead Form” field instead.
The effect on order
Sessions add 10 points to the rule’s specificity, and a Source condition adds 5 like any condition, so the rule comes before general rules. See Which distribution rule wins? Most specific first, then priority.
If something goes wrong
A real example
Each branch has a WhatsApp number, and they want each branch’s employees to get messages to their own number only.
- A rule for each branch, limited to the branch number’s channel, with assignees from the branch’s employees.
- A general rule for the other sources, for the call center.
Messages to the Dammam number go to the Dammam front desk, and the rest go to the call center.
